Troyekurovskoye opened in 1962 on the site of the former Troyekurovo village and became, over the following decades, one of the city’s most prominent modern burial grounds. It is sometimes described as a continuation of Novodevichy for the later Soviet and post-Soviet decades.
Practically, it is one of the easiest Moscow cemeteries to work at from a distance: sections are clearly numbered, the central alleys are paved, and the administration is responsive.
Among those buried here are the television journalist Vlad Listyev, the film director Eldar Ryazanov and the singer Zhanna Friske.
What grave care at Troyekurovskoye actually involves
Most plots sit in open sunlight. That is good for the stone and bad for the grass: it grows fast from May to September and a plot left alone for a season genuinely disappears under it. Cutting and weeding are the core of the work here, not stone cleaning.
Monuments are predominantly polished black granite. Polished granite shows dust, rain spotting and hard-water marks very clearly — and it also shows cleaning marks, which is why we finish with soft cloths and no abrasives. The photo report makes the difference obvious.
Paved alleys mean vehicles can get close to most sections, so delivering and installing a monument, a plinth or paving slabs is straightforward and cheaper here than at the older central cemeteries.

How often should a plot here be visited?
Three to four times between April and October keeps it presentable. Winter visits are mainly for clearing snow and placing flowers on a specific date.
Can you add a name and dates to an existing headstone?
Yes. Engraving on an installed monument is done on site; we send you a layout with the exact wording and font for approval before anything is cut.
Do you work before Radonitsa?
Yes, but that fortnight is the busiest of the year at every Moscow cemetery. Send the request two weeks ahead to get the date you want.
