How Remote Grave Care Works

Ordering grave maintenance in Moscow from abroad takes one message, not a trip to Russia. Below is the whole process, step by step — from your first message to the “after” photos — and how to verify each report. You pay only after you have seen the result.

Send a request
Write to us on Telegram, WhatsApp or through the website form. We need three things: the name of the deceased, the cemetery, and anything you remember about the plot — section, row, a landmark, an old photo. Standard lead time is 5–7 days before the date you need; before Radonitsa and Trinity Sunday, two weeks.

We locate the grave
If you know the section and row, we go straight to the plot. If the exact spot has been forgotten, we search through the cemetery administration by full name and year of burial (from ₽1,500) and confirm the find with photos of the inscription before anything else happens.

“Before” photos and a fixed quote
You see the real condition of the plot — overgrowth, the state of the headstone and fence — and approve the exact scope and price. The quote is fixed before work begins; nothing is added to it afterwards.

The work
Litter and old wreaths removed, weeding, grass cutting, headstone washed with stone-safe products. Larger jobs on request: deep restoration of a neglected plot (₽5,000–10,000), headstone cleaning from ₽2,000, fence repainting with rust removal (₽10,000–20,000). One-time cleaning starts at ₽3,000 (~$35).

“After” photos and payment
You receive the same angles as the “before” photos, plus close-ups — with date and GPS position, and original files with EXIF data on request. Then we agree on a payment method that works for your country; you pay after checking the report.

Trust & verification

You cannot check the work in person, so the report is built to be checkable from anywhere:

Surroundings match

Wide shots show the fence and neighbouring plots — the same background as in the “before” photos.

Date and GPS in the files

Photos carry the shooting date and GPS position; original files with EXIF metadata are sent on request.

Video walkthrough

On request we record a short video walk around the plot instead of, or in addition to, photos.

Why payment after the report matters

The order of events removes the usual risk of paying a company you have never met, in a country you cannot easily visit. You approve a fixed quote from the “before” photos, we do the work, you check the “after” report — and only then pay. If the report does not match what was agreed, you do not pay until it does.

Before your trip to Moscow

You are flying in to visit the grave and want it tidy when you arrive. Send the request 5–7 days before your visit — you come to a clean plot, not to a day of weeding.

Anniversaries and memorial days

A death anniversary, Radonitsa, Trinity Sunday — we schedule the visit to the date. For Radonitsa and Trinity, book two weeks ahead; these are the busiest weeks at Moscow cemeteries.

Year-round care

The seasonal package — 4 visits a year (spring, summer, autumn leaf removal, winter check) from ₽12,000/year (~$135) — keeps the plot in order without you having to remember to ask. A photo report follows every visit.

Communication across time zones

Everything happens in Telegram or WhatsApp, asynchronously — no phone calls, no need to catch Moscow working hours from another continent. Write when it suits you; we reply during the Moscow day. You can write in English and we reply in English; photos, quotes and reports all arrive in the same chat, so the whole history of the order stays in one place.

How far in advance should I place an order?

Send your request 5–7 days before the date you need the grave to be tidy — for example, before your visit or a memorial date. Before major memorial days such as Radonitsa and Trinity Sunday, book two weeks ahead: those weeks are the busiest of the year.

How do I know the photos really show my family’s grave?

Every report includes a close-up of the nameplate or headstone inscription, wide shots showing the fence and neighbouring plots, and photos with date and GPS position. Original files with EXIF metadata, or a short video walkthrough of the plot, are available on request. You pay only after checking the report.

What if the exact location of the grave has been forgotten?

We search through the cemetery administration using the full name and year of burial (from ₽1,500). Once found, we confirm the plot with photos of the inscription before any work is ordered.

How do I pay from abroad?

We agree on a payment method that works for your country when confirming the order — several options are available, including payment via relatives in Russia. Payment is due after you receive the photo report.
